3 Words that Describe You: Adventurous, outgoing, faithful
Finish this Sentence, “To feel more centered I…”: When I start to fill overwhelmed, it helps me to write in my journal and/or pray. Sometimes being alone with my thoughts is all that it takes to get me back on track.
What is Your Favorite Thing to do When You’re Not Working?: There are so many things that I like to do in my downtime but my favorite is reading. I never seem to get the time to just unplug with a good book but it’s still my favorite pastime.
What is Your Favorite Restaurant?: I always seek out new restaurants in my city and when I travel so I don’t really have one favorite. I’ve enjoyed the best tacos in Los Angeles, the best steak and fries in Paris, the best ginger ale in New York, the best gelato in Rome and the best pizza in Naples. The search continues!
What are You Most Proud of?: I continue to push myself to get out of my comfort zone which has led to a few proud moments. Five years ago, I moved from LA to Chicago where I knew no one. It was hard leaving my friends and family and making new friends as an adult is tough. And don’t get me started about the Chicago winters! Now that I’m back in LA, I am grateful for how much I grew personally and professionally and the great friends that I made.
What Words Do You Live By?: “To thine own self be true” by William Shakespeare. I just try to do me!
What Was the Last Thing that Inspired You?: I find my work in K-12 education to be most inspiring! I recently visited a charter school in New Orleans and was so touched and encouraged by the students that I met and the aspirations that they had for their lives. I believe that children deserve an opportunity to succeed and I am humbled to do my part to help them achieve.
What is Your Favorite Travel Destination?: There are so many places! Anywhere in Italy is at the top of the list and I’ve already been there 3 times and counting. I also have to include Ghana for its energy, people and history.
What Beauty Product Can’t You Live Without?: Mac lipstick. I don’t really wear makeup but a little lipstick makes me feel sexy.
