Announcing: “Refyning Moments”

This week marked the end of an era. This past Wednesday, May 25, The Oprah Winfrey Show came to an end. Throughout the last 25 years many of us have grown up, grown with and learned from Oprah Winfrey. What the two of us have learned most from Oprah is something we have tried to keep at the core of Vyne World and all of its properties – to inspire our readers to be better and do better. So in that vein, we want to start a new feature in The Vyne called “Refyning Moments” where we will give you something to do during the week that will help refine different aspects of your life. And, to take it one step further, we want to hear about your experience by posting a comment on that week’s article on

This week’s activity
Make a vision board!: Get a piece of posterboard and some magazines, pictures and a glue stick (this is a great way to get rid of old magazines, by the way). Cut out anything that you want to attract into your life, that make you happy, or inspire you. Put it somewhere that you can see it if not daily, then at least have access to when you need it. Then, post a comment and tell us about your experience. You can even post your vision board onto our Facebook Page — we would love to see it!

About a year or so ago we created a vision board and took a picture of it. We now both have this vision board as the wallpaper of our phones (as you can see in this photo) and personal laptops so that there is not a day goes by when we are not reminded by our vision of what we are creating with The Vyne and Vyne World.

First off, thank you ladies I really needed this.

I have a large long term vision board I created a few years ago, so I created 2 smaller short term vision board in a journal. I’m able to carry the journal with me, reflect on my vision boards a little bit each day and journal my thoughts and ideas. Most importantly since it’s something that I can carry with me it will help keep me focused – something I can’t necessarily do with my larger long term board.
