Fashion to Fight the Cold
It seems like most of the country has endured a snowy or deep-freeze winter – even in cities like Atlanta and Dallas that usually enjoy fairly mild winters. So, how can you maintain your style with these freezing temps? Here are a few tips:
Wearing cashmere is a great way to stay warm without the bulk. These cashmere options keep you warm without skimping on style as well.
Wearing a cardigan or belted sweater over another shirt is a good way to maintain a nice shape and avoid the bulkiness of huge sweaters.
Sweaters are what we usually run to when the weather gets frightful, but don’t just wear any sweater. Let’s face it, sweaters can look frumpy if you get the wrong one. Look for sweaters that can synch in at the waist or have some visual interest to avoid the “frump.”
Set your base
Put on tights and/or body shapers underneath your clothes to keep your body looking great in whatever you wear and also keep you warm. Here are a couple of our faves:
Don’t run for the turtleneck because honestly, turtlenecks aren’t flattering on everyone. Instead, wear a scoop neck with a scarf around your neck to keep warm.
